One-Minute Makeover: The Power of a Blazer
Blazers aren't anything new or groundbreaking, but sometimes we need a refresher. That being said, today's fashion tip is super easy to execute: don't deny the power of the blazer. Listen up: The key to finding the perfect blazer is all about fit. Depending on how you like to layer, we suggest you find a silhouette that's cut close to your body, making sure the shoulder, arms, and chest areas sit closely to your figure. Now comes the fun part — styling! As seen below, blazers can instantly dress up more casual accompaniments, like denim, or easily take your dressier counterparts to the next level, as displayed by Vogue Australia's Christine Centenera, pictured center. Up your styling ante this Spring, and try a bold-colored blazer or one with a sleek metallic finish, or embrace a bright white option for an instantly chic update. We've supplied the outfit inspiration below, so it's up to you to put your blazer to work.
Try Pairing Your Bold Prints With Sleek Trousers For the Perfect Outfit
As we look forward to sunnier skies in the next few weeks, it's time to reinvent our Spring wardrobe. For a look that will instantly pep up your style repertoire, try pairing sleek tailored trousers (we especially love a white, navy, or bright citrus hue), with a bold, structured, printed top. Not only is this ensemble work-appropriate — especially when paired with sleek slingbacks and a solid blazer — but also, it can easily take you from day to night with just a few sparkly accessories. Spring Forward
As the days get longer, and the nights shorter, one can't help feeling the Spring shopping itch. That being said, I was strolling down the street the other day (after my boyfriend called and said he was running late for our dinner date), and decided to pop into Creatures of Comfort for a quick peruse. The fashion gods must have been watching over me because they were hosting a huge sale. After browsing the racks, I came across these awesome LD Tuttle cowboy-ish boots. It's hard to tell in the photos, but they're the perfect pale blush hue and even more, they're super comfortable. Perfect for pairing with all of my little white dresses and cropped pants come sunshine . . .

Good Eats: Chinatown on the Cheap
Steamy hot dumplings and pork buns on a crisp Fall day. After checking out a few spots in Chinatown, we found two gems: Lucky King Bakery and Prosperity Dumpling. 3 pork buns for $1.50, 2 sugared doughnuts for $1.00, 10 pork dumplings for $2, and 1 Peking duck sesame sandwich for $1.75. Total cost: $6.25 (and two very stuffed bellies)

Subversive: Eddie Borgo Fall '12
Eddie Borgo gets me every time with his subversive designs. For Fall '12, the designer showed a collection inspired by the nuts and bolts that hold NYC together, specifically looking at the work of photographer Steve Duncan and his fascination of the "undercity". The results are a directionally mechanical, yet modern aesthetic that's left me once again in awe of his inspiring work.
Rain, Rain Go Away
Cute rain coats are hard to come by but here are some that are sure to brighten up your day. Sonia Rykiel designed some especially covetable options — think polka-dots and toggle coats — while other brands like ASOS and Barbour provided some classic, effortless silhouettes. Which is your favorite?

Back to Boots
It's official boot weather and here are some of my favorite black pairs. From Isabel Marant's studded western tinge to Givenchy's calf-hair wedges, 'tis the season to cozy up.

Spring Kickoff
So happy that sneakers are back in a major way. Here are some of my top picks of the moment. I'm personally addicted to Isabel Marant's pumped-up kicks, but am also loving the diamond and studded renditions from Giuseppe Zanotti and Lanvin. Pricey, but I'd rather spend money on a pair of shoes I can wear frequently then painful heels. Which pair do you like?

Fall Mood: Fringe, Feathers, and Fur
Whether it's a shaggy rug or a loopy coat, I can never get enough texture in my life. My current fashion mood calls for fur, fringe, and feathers. I have Isabel Marant to thank for my current obsession. Those boots are sold out everywhere. Winter is coming . . .

Diesel Jogg Jeans
I tried out Diesel's new Jogg jeans concept a couple months ago. They're pretty thick for the Summertime — I was sweating like a crazy woman during this quick photo shoot — but I'm ready to wear them out now that the weather has cooled down. What do you think? Check it out on the website.
Trippy Scenes

I'm absolutely addicted to these shots from Alexix Bittar's Resort 2012 collection. I love the surrealist point of view and unique baubles. Check out the complete lookbook here.
Taste: Massage Your Kale
Even kale needs a little loving: break down the tough cellulose in kale by massaging it, with lemon juice and a little bit of olive oil, for about two minutes. The results? A light and tasty salad option for those hot Summer nights.
Ingredients: Kale, lemon juice, olive oil, mango, toasted pumpkin seeds
