I Love Mr. Mittens
Say it with me: I Love Mr. Mittens. The chunky knitwear line by Belgian-born designer Stephanie Caulier sparks my need for all things cozy and oversized this coming Fall. Inspired by her childhood love for knitting, Caulier turned what was once a hobby into a full fledged business thanks to a close-knit following (ha!) and popular social media presence. Each piece from the designer's collection is carefully hand knit by Caulier and her team in Australia, bringing forth her vision for quality over quantity. Needless to say, I'll be updating my wardrobe with one or two pieces from Caulier's collection — get yours before it sells out.
Bliss and Mischief
Custom made Vintage Levis denim with floral embroidery reminds me of the wild west.
Marni Makes Me Dance
Dressing up my distressed floors with a pair of Marni jeweled flats — a recent score (!) from a random trip to Barneys Warehouse over the weekend.
Step Into the '70s
Standing on the fringe of this season's '70s trend? Get some skin in the game with these low-risk/high-return finds. From fit and flare jeans to dreamy tunics, your spring wardrobe will thank you.
Eenie, Meenie, Miney . . .
Anna Sheffield is one of the most inspiring, creative, and badass designers out there. Born in New Mexico, trained in San Francisco, and currently living in NYC, Anna's unique designs come from her multidisciplinary background in sculpture, metalsmithing, and fine art. Every piece embodies a modern-vintage nuance, some of which were inspired by her grandmother's treasured heirlooms, featuring rare gemstones and conflict-free diamonds. See my favorite rings, ranging from rose gold bands to beautiful black diamonds.

J.Crew Sets Up Fall With a Twist
If you thought J.Crew was starting to lose its edge, think again. The retailer showcased its Fall 2015 collection at NYFW featuring a lineup filled with notable twists and turns. There was a clear nod to the '70s, but with a modern oomph that only creative director Jenna Lyons and head of women's design Tom Mora could conjure up. Masterful styling and key statement pieces, like peppermint pullovers and utility jackets trimmed with bold marigold shearling, played key roles in the successful presentation. I guarantee the latter left every fashion editor rushing to find their own perfect khaki and yellow combo to wear right away. That is, until the real thing becomes available.
New Kicks
These Adidas Superstar vintage kicks are a classic throwback. Back to the days of B-boys, track suits, and too much hair spray. I'll do it all again in a heartbeat — minus the latter.
Brother Vellies, Beautiful Handcrafted Footwear
Brother Vellies offers up traditional African footwear — with a twist. Every pair is one-of-a-kind and handmade by local artisans in Africa. My favorite is the denimbok sandal, crafted in South Africa of sustainable materials. Made carefully and made to last a lifetime.
Life Goals
2015 life goal = working my body into this little black bikini by summer. Kauai, here we come!
The Find: '70s Fringe
So excited about this DKNY woven leather fringe crossbody I found on eBay. I love the mini size silhouette and rich chocolate brown hue — perfect for wearing with all kinds of spring denim.
Lace Life
Since heels are out of the picture for the moment, I will have to suffice my need for statement shoes in a new way. These Aglit Italy gold leather shoe laces will definitely give my tried and true Nike sneakers a much needed boost. If gold is not your thing, there are a lot more colors to choose from . . .
Still Cold — and Without a Coat
I'm really late to the coat party, but I think I found the perfect piece to keep me warm for the rest of winter. The pinkish-beige hue on this Acne Studios wool parka will make all of my black, blue, and gray basics look new again. Right?
